Kahlua Brownies

Espresso Kahlua Brownies

One stick butter
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups sugar (or less)
1 tsp. vanilla
3 TB instant espresso powder
3 TB Kahlua
3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt


Butter and flour a 9-inch glass baking dish, knocking out excess flour.

In a small saucepan on very low heat melt butter and chocolate. Cool to lukewarm.

In a large bowl beat together eggs, sugar, vanilla, espresso powder and Kahlua.  Add in chocolate mixture.

In another bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt. Beat into chocolate mixture until well blended. Pour into glass dish and bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
